ADIP Scheme — Government Support for Cochlear Implant

The ADIP scheme of the Government of India provides cochlear implant assistance for eligible children, primarily up to 5 years of age from BPL/low-income families.

ADIP (Assistance to Disabled Persons for Purchase/Fitting of Aids/Appliances) covers cochlear implant surgery, the device and limited rehabilitation support through empanelled hospitals. The scheme is administered by the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities under MoSJE. Families should approach an empanelled hospital with documents including Aadhaar, income certificate, disability certificate, audiogram and BERA/ASSR reports. HearClear can guide eligible families on documentation and empanelled hospitals.
Medical disclaimer: This information is for awareness and education only. It does not replace consultation with a qualified ENT surgeon, audiologist or medical professional. Cochlear implant eligibility must be determined after clinical evaluation and diagnostic testing.
