Bilateral cochlear implant cost in India
Bilateral CI roughly doubles the device cost but not surgical/hospital costs proportionately. Some packages offer modest savings for simultaneous bilateral procedures.
Bilateral simultaneous surgery adds about 1.5–2 hours of operating time and uses two implants. Some hospitals offer discounted packages for simultaneous bilateral. Funding for the second ear is the biggest barrier — partial scheme support and CSR add-ons are increasingly available in India.
