Programs on the processor — when to use which
Most processors have multiple programmes (quiet, noise, music, telecoil) that you can switch between for different listening situations.
Typical programs:
• Everyday / Auto: works for most situations using automatic environment classification.
• Noise / Focus: emphasises front-facing speech and reduces ambient noise.
• Music: preserves dynamic range and pitch information.
• Telecoil: receives a magnetic loop signal (used in airports, lecture halls, theatres with loops).
Newer processors auto-switch based on environment; manual override remains available via the app or processor controls.
