Myths & FAQs
Myth: CI surgery is risky
Reality — in experienced centres, CI surgery has very low complication rates. It is one of the safer ear surgeries with decades of established practice.
Major complications (facial nerve injury, severe infection) are very uncommon. Minor complications (temporary taste change, mild vertigo, wound issues) are uncommon and usually self-limiting. Modern surgical monitoring further reduces risk.
Choosing an experienced surgeon and centre matters more than any technical detail.
