Bluetooth LE Audio in Modern Cochlear Implant Processors
The latest sound processors from major CI manufacturers are designed to support Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast — opening new ways to stream audio directly to the processor.

Bluetooth LE Audio enables direct streaming of phone calls, music and public-venue audio (Auracast) to cochlear implant sound processors. The Cochlear Nucleus 8 explicitly markets readiness for LE Audio, while MED-EL SONNET 3 and Advanced Bionics Naída CI M also offer direct streaming. This generation of features improves accessibility in public spaces such as airports, theatres and classrooms.
